Currently available are three books for casual relief teaching in NSW, Queensland and Victoria:

- A Practical Guide for Casual Teachers in NSW Primary Schools

- A Practical Guide for Casual Relief Teachers in Victorian Primary Schools

- A Practical Guide for Supply Teachers in Queensland Primary Schools

Originally a book was written for NSW casual teachers. This book was later reviewed and edited by experienced teachers in Victoria and Queensland to make content applicable to those states.

Many hours were spent in consultation with principals, deputy principals, experienced teachers, new casual relief teachers and university students. They were asked to provide their opinions on what was needed to go into the book and also to provide their feedback on the information and advice given in the books.
